The Kulturstiftung Dessau-Wörlitz graciouously provided information for completing this description.

Both Rode and Parthey mention the presence of two landscapes by JDA in the Gotisches Haus Wörlitz. Rode even points out that they were in the bedroom. One of those two paintings could be the present work. The second one is no longer in the Gothisches Haus and its location is for the time being unknown.
